Q. How Does Paver Sealer Work?
A.Polymeric Sand is a blend of sand and special additives designed to fill the joints between
natural stones, concrete pavers, and brick pavers. When proper preparation is taken, this
polymeric jointing sand has the potential to reduce weed growth, resist rain washout, and
help prevent insect penetration. Upgrading to this sand will save thousands of dollars in the
future since you will avoid having to resand yearly. The sand is available in a variety of
colors that you can choose from.

Q. Why is Sealing Important?
A. Sealing is imperative to maintain the integrity and radiance of the pavers new
for as long as possible. After making this kind of investment it’s important to protect the
pavers. Not only will the sealer enhance the color and protect the pavers from UV light and
fading, but it will also stabilize the joints by sealing the sand and keeping the joints
saturated longer. The sealer is available in matte/natural finish, semi-gloss finish, and
Wet-Look/High gloss finish.

Q. What is the Base Material made of?
A. The base materials are made of crushed stone and crushed concrete. The crushed stones should have varying sized particles and sharp edges to enable better compaction. The better your base compacts together, the flatter your paved surface will be.

Q. What equipment is used to compact the base
A. A vibratory electrical compactor machine is used to compact the base after the base is poured and leveled and over the pavers or travertine after the product is installed

Q. Can I Use Pavers around the Pool?
A. Yes. Pavers are very appropriate for around pool areas, for they provide a slip resistant surface, making it a safer environment. The moisture and water are soaked up by the sand in the joints, rather than being left to create a slippery surface. Pavers also provide a cooler surface to walk on than concrete!

Q. Can I Use Pavers Over Existing Concrete?
Yes, we offer 30mm pavers that can be installed right over the concrete. These pavers are perfect for pool decks, lanais, and entryways. In some cases, you may need a step if lying directly on top of a concrete slab. It is recommended that you obtain a quote for the removal of concrete slabs, for it may not be that expensive.

Q. How Long Do Pavers Last?
A. You will find that many of the larger paver manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty. However, pavers can be easily repaired and replaced, making them very durable!

Q. Will My Pavers Move or Shift?
A. To ensure that your pavers do not move or shift you must use a good edge restraint. If you live in a hotter region, be sure to use a concrete edge restraint, rather a plastic type, which may buckle under extreme heat. Kingdom Pavers specializes in visible and invisible concrete edging.
